If you choose to have your sign for hanging, the thickness of wood will be less than 1 inch, instead of the thickness needed to sit up on it's own. Easel Style signs will have a bare backing nicely painted so sign looks nice if viewed from the back side. Signs are made from real wood. Hand painted & coated with a protective finish.
