Born in 1937 in Westerly, Rhode Island, David Itchkawich holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Rhode Island School of Design. in 1961 he studied in Rome & Florence with the RISD European Honors Program. After working briefly in advertising & illustration, he began devoting himself primarily to the art of etching. He currently lives & works in Maine. Says Itchkawich, "My work represents invented situations which look believable at first glance.
