Early British Georgian antique salesman sample folding campaign bed which commonly were used for child's play or for dolls. All original construction. A structural style typical for campaign pieces more than doll beds, but works great also as a toy. Beautiful brown patina over early wood, looks like Rosewood which was typical of an early British Georgian period, possibly Federal. Unusual style, its style of steel mechanisms & early off-center screws, typical of campaign camp furniture, first issued in a miniature size of salesman sample. There is a nail head where there would have been a manufacture label or stencil but that is long gone. It has survived with expected wear, scratches, a shallow wood sliver slice & such signs commensurate to age & child's play. Steel metal latches free it to fold flat, its wire mesh surface usable as well as easy to replace.
