Beautiful Red Wood cremation urn, Laser engraved mountain on the front. The urn in the picture may not be the urn you will receive. They are all very similar though. I always hand pick the wood for the most beautiful outcome. The urn is 11 1/2 x 5 1/2 x 5 1/2 tall on the outside & 10 1/4 x 4 1/4 x 4 3/4 tall on the inside. The general rule of thumb is that the cubic inch volume is equal to the weight of the decedent. The volume of this urn is about 195 cubic inches. So this urn would be good for a person that was around 190 pounds or less. This urn was meticulously constructed by me in my one man shop. The urn has up to 4 coats of hand applied polyurethane with a careful sanding between each coat. Then the urn is polished/waxed for a nice shine that will protect the urn & feels amazing. This urn is a bottom load urn. This means that there is a panel on the bottom that is removed with 4 screws. This is a very good way to be assured that the remains are always secure within the urn. I cannot guarantee what the grain structure will look like. Your box will be a combination of blonde & red colored wood & it could/may have knots on the front, top & sides. Western redwood is usually not a solid color wood. The interesting marks & colors are what makes the urn I construct desirable & unique.
