Description
This is a handsome early bed tick found in Lancaster Co., Pa. It is very heavy with a thick red & white homespun backed with a coarser natural linen. It was a breezy day but the breeze couldn't budge this heavy fabric. Both are center seamed & entirely sewn by hand. There are woven ties for closure. It is clean & in overall excellent condition with only a few spots on the top (see photo) & a few faint stains on the bottom (see last photo). It has been in storage for years. It measures 67" by 60". It was a beautiful spring day & when I saw this on the clothesline I reflected on how many times in the past this must have been pulled off the bed & aired out on a day like today.
