This scarce medal was awarded to a member of the 1931 Santa Ana High School Football team in recognition of the team's victory in the Southern California Championship game. The team went on that year to win the California State Championship 34-0 at the Los Angeles Coliseum against Covina High School. The team was lead by college football legend Tex Oliver, who coached Santa Ana before going to break records as head coach of the University of Arizona Wild Cats. The medal is in very nice antique condition & is golf filled on bronze. It is signed on the back by famous LA engraver T.V. Allen Co. (maker of the Academy Awards pieces).
