Description
Victorian era advertising trade card by Donaldson Bros New York dating to the late 1800's. The trade card advertises for "Standard Screw Fastened Boots & Shoes" & has a sweet faced little girl with praying hands. The quote on the front of the card says "My Papa is going to buy me a pair of Standard Screw Fastened Shoes. He says they are the best in the world." The card is marked Donaldson Bros in the bottom left, & Copyright 1886 on the bottom right. The back of the card is from M. W. Owens Dealer in Boots, Shoes & General Merchandise. Cannonsville New York. There are some spotted discoloration from age. No torn edges. There is a small flaw over the word Cannonsville on the back of the card. Please refer to my photographs as part of this description. No musty odor. Comes from a smoke-free home. This card measures approximately 5.5 x 3.25.
