About Maria Wigge Maria Wigge is a Swedish artist, working mainly with acrylics and watercolors. Her aim is to capture the majestic nature and reserved cultural atmosphere of Scandinavia in her art. She has always been drawn to the abstract and undisclosed, using watercolors and thinned acrylic paint for a translucent, layered expression. After working with graphic design and Art Direction for 20+ years in San Francisco and later in Stockholm, she now lives and works full time with her art in a small town on the Swedish west coast.
