Jimena Arechavala is an illustration artist in Toronto, Canada who enjoys the hard work behind her drawing. Sometimes the central idea of Jimena's work comes first, and the image comes later (she is, at heart, an illustrator and illustrators are always linking their images to an idea or a bigger story). Other times, the media comes first, and the image comes later. She is simply too intrigued by the possibilities of a specific material. Each piece is a tiny journey to keep exploring detail and texture (the fruits of labor, patience, and time) in new ways.
