An introduction to master rug weaving from India. These designs are revivals of Agra patterns from the oriental Mughal period. What distinguishes these hand-knotted Agra patterns, are the large floral palmettes. The new innovation of this rug collection is the texture and colors. The antique effect in these rugs is achieved with a combination of the finest quality spun wool together with a simple soap wash and new contemporary colors. The wool is from a mixture of native Indian wool and New Zealand wool. The wool in these rugs retains its natural lanolin, which one can feel by hand, in the pile.
