Our OXO Steel POP Coffee Canister features a secure seal and tinted body to keep out air, moisture and UV rays so coffee stays fresh and flavorful. Perfect for whole bean or ground coffee and even loose tea, molded corners allow for easy pouring. Like all of our sleek OXO POP Canisters, the innovative lid provides the highest level of air-tight seal; simply push down on the button and it "pops" up so you can remove the lid. Note: We recommend using the push-button to seal and unseal your POP Containers to ensure an airtight seal. The patented lid design features a silicone gasket with a flexible "fin." When you push the button, the gasket expands, pushing the fin against the POP Container walls to create an airtight barrier. Being able to pull the lid off without using the push-button does not mean the lid wasn't sealed. Pulling the lid off temporarily "breaks" the contact between the flexible silicone seal around the lid and the Container walls - allowing air to come in and the lid to come off.
