Ice fishing is a great way to experience the winter months of the northern latitudes. As it gets you outside to experience the beauty of nature in a heated tent. The Nacey Lake State Recreation area is very renowned for its amazing access to some backcountry areas of Alaska. You would expect to catch northern pike and lake trout on this trip. Our full-day ice fishing trip takes you out by snowshoe through the winter wonderland of the Nancy Lake area to a selected frozen lake. Once out on the lake, we will prepare the area and fishing tent so we can fish in a heated environment. Your guide will point out wildlife, and land formations as you snowshoe and will clean any fish you catch.
