Our basic philosophy is to nurture the rich hearts of children who will lead the next generation by appreciating excellent works of art, to pass on the irreplaceable nature of Furusato to future generations, and to contribute to the improvement of local cultureThe museum exhibits seasonal works, mainly contemporary Japanese paintings. In addition, the museum holds the Shimane exhibition of the Revival Institute exhibition, which tours major cities nationwide, including the Tokyo exhibition, every year. The exhibition of the Revival Institute, which displays many excellent masterpieces, is a valuable place where there are few opportunities to appreciate it in rural areas.
