Description
During and after college, I was a counselor, tutor, and teacher for troubled and troublesome boys. I had to learn how to make the subject matter interesting to my students—or else . . . ! Later I worked for a publisher, wrote books that were promoted by commercial publishers, coached cross country, and did a fair amount of family counseling. In my fifties and sixties I was the curator of an extensive collection of antique fine art, which is now the teaching collection at a liberal arts college.
