I have been a hospital-based Registered Nurse for the first 25 years of my career with particular interest in Neonatal Intensive Care and Pediatrics. I worked at Duke, Wake Med, and lastly at New Hanover Regional where I became Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. After 8 years in that role, I took an early retirement option and joined the faculty in the UNC-W School of Nursing. I took the first groups of nursing students from NC for a semester of their required training to London, England
