I started tutoring in college and felt a great sense of reward watching students who had struggled with math and English start to master their subjects. As a result, I double majored adding an English degree to my Economics degree. My recent experience includes teaching English as a foreign language at the Fachhochschule in Munich, tutoring my own daughter, first as she learned to read and later as she prepared by invitation to take the SAT in the 7th grade, and as a volunteer reading tutor
