As an experienced educator I believe that every student can be successful in math, it is simply my job to break it down in a way the student can understand. As a child myself, I attended Montessori school where I was taught math with a very hands on and visual approach. As a result I still think of mathematics that way and have found many students are visual learners as well. Therefore, most of my teaching approach starts with the how or the why to build reasoning, then goes into a guided lesson
