So, let's get motivated! Start the Sweet Pansy Brush Class NOW! Overview: Lesson 1In Lesson 1 we will talk about inspiration and reference and how to set up your workspace in Adobe Illustrator. We will also set up color swatches using a reference photo. Lesson 2This unit focuses on drawing initial shapes for the pansy brushes we will be creating, an overview on how to create them, and how to adjust variables and stay organized. Brushes will be developed in this lesson to help review brush construction. Lesson 3You will now get the opportunity to divide the petal using unique methods with the eraser tool, the knife tool, the anchor point tool, reflect, average and the new the join tool. We will also work with the layers palette to stay organized. Lesson 4The outcome of this unit is dividing our petal using new methods with the knife tool and the eraser tool, as well as a bunch of organizational details in the layers palette. Lesson 5We explore alternate methods for creating details with custom brushes that use calligraphy brushes as well as art brushes, as well as using the convert anchor point tool. Lesson 6We will go into greater detail here on construction of the different color areas. We use offset path, the blob brush, pathfinder, layers and transparency palettes. I will also explain how to crop your reference photos if necessary. Lesson 7In this lesson, we will start constructing the compound brush shapes that will become our first petal using unique blending methods with brushes.
