Meanwhile, you're sitting at your desk designing screenshots for laptops and mobile phones, and wondering, "Where does UX fit into al of this? This course gives you a comprehensive overview of all of the emerging technologies that will be relevant for UX designers in the future and teaches you the overarching principles of designing for these technologies. In order to accomplish this, we start broad and narrow it down as the course progresses. We first take a 30.000 foot view of how we got to this point. We look at the big technological cycles since the first industrial revolution, to give you context and make clear that we are now at the cusp of another big change in how society relates to technology. We then go down to the 10.000 foot view to give you an overview of all the emerging technologies that will be relevant to UX designers over the next 10 years. And finally, we go to the ground level explaining the big-picture principles of designing for new technologies. As we progress to this course we will be working our way through a worksheet with exercises and additional information, in order for you to put it all together and deepen your understanding of this subject matter.
