Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) are individuals who perform at least 50% of professional-level safety duties, such as conducting worksite risk assessments, assessing potential hazards and controls, evaluating risks and hazard control measures, investigating incidents, maintaining and evaluating incident and loss records, and developing emergency response plans. Unidentified pretest questions account for 25 of the questions. These will are spread throughout your test and will not affect your score; nonetheless, since they are unlabeled, it is important that you answer them. The CSP test will take 5.5 hours to complete. Examinations are closed books, and access to external reference sources are not allowed during the examination. This score is then compared to a minimum passing score for that particular exam version. The CSP requires a minimum passing score of 99 out of 175. Immediately after the exam, you will be given your score results at the testing location. Only those who pass will have a pass or fail status stated. You will get the CSP certification, a wall certificate, and access to a printable wallet card as a reward. You must pay an annual renewal fee and obtain at least 25 recertification points every five years to keep your certification. If you fail the test, your score report will offer a breakdown of how you performed in each domain or major portion. This will assist you in preparing for any retakes you may wish to perform. Candidates who fail may acquire another exam authorization and utilize it to retake the CSP no sooner than six weeks after their last try.
