Description

This course incorporates breathing exercises, rehabilitative exercises, everyday movements, and guided meditations to help you heal your body and re-establish healthy movement patterns after your cesarean section birth. You will find breathing exercises to help heal your core muscles and learn how to engage your primary breathing muscle, your diaphragm. We discuss common movement patterns and posture adjustments to help your body move with more ease. There is an entire section dedicated to helping you heal your core and pelvic floor and find good body function with less discomfort in your day-to-day life. You can also find yoga and stretching and guided meditations to help strengthen your mind-body connection after birth and major abdominal surgery. I place a lot of emphasis on restoring the mind-body connection between your brain and your body, particularly your lower abdominal area because if we cannot connect our mind to this area of the body, we may run into some recovery challenges. When our brain builds up walls to an area that has been a source of pain or discomfort, or perhaps we feel as though this body has let us down, the recovery process stalls and sometimes cannot progress until we can connect to place physically, mentally and emotionally once again. I blend together my experience as a trainer and fitness coach of pregnant and postpartum athletes, prenatal and postpartum yoga teachings and techniques I learned during my graduate studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine to help you find the practices you need to buikld a strong foundation for whatever your body and healing goals may be. Whether you are trying to nautrally heal your body after surgery for less pain and discomfort in the day-to-day or you have a fitness passion you are hoping to return to, I have you covered with the content we cover in this course. I love receiving your feedback about the aspects of the course you found to be particularly helpful for your recovery and welcome the invitation with postive feedback in ways in which I can improve this course for yo uand all the future Mamas and students that would love to learn more about naturally healing after cesarean birth.
