This online course provides an introduction to the basics of commercial real estate leasing, designed for residential agents looking to transition to commercial real estate, new commercial real estate agents who need guidance on commercial leasing basics, and investors who are interested in getting into commercial real estate for the first time. Through a series of video lectures, and real-life case study, this course covers the following topics: An overview of commercial real estate, including common myths about CRE agents, the definition of commercial real estate, and what a commercial real estate lease is. Understanding the various asset types and lease types in commercial real estate, and the responsibilities of tenants and landlords under each type of lease. Exploring the benefits of different types of leases, and how to identify the right lease for a client's needs. Learning about the general workflow of leasing commercial real estate, from identifying client needs and properties to submitting offers and invoicing for payment.
