Description
The Everbilt Shower kit is a waterproof system which includes all the underlayment components needed to waterproof the walls for tiling around a bathtub or shower base. The 1/2 in. thick Everbilt backer board panels are applied directly to the stud framing eliminating the need for gypsum or cement board without having to add a waterproof sealant. Ten (10) Backer boards are included in the kit that cover 106 sq.ft. The 32 in. x 48 in. x 1/2 in. wall backer board is a thin, lightweight (5lbs vs 45 lbs. for traditional cement backer), waterproof and vapor-retardant backer board that consists of a 2 sided extruded polystyrene rigid foam core. The backer boards are easy to cut with a standard utility blade and do not generate the dust convention backer boards create. There are no VOC's in the backer board and can be cut easily at the job site. The Everbilt multipurpose construction adhesive bonds and seals the waterproof backer boards as well as many other materials. The kit includes 10 Everbilt backer board panels, Everbilt waterproofing seam tape (66 ft. x 4.8 in.), pipe seal, mixing valve collar seal, 2 inside and 2 outside pre-formed waterproof corners, 2 tubes of 11 oz. caulking sealant adhesive and 160 screws and washers. Shower pan, curb and drain sold separately.
