Description
Scale TAC-ler Replacement Cartridge is a replacement filter for use with the Stiebel Eltron Scale TAC-ler or Scale TAC-ler Plus water conditioner. It can also be used with most brands of Big Blue 4.5 in. x 20 in. filter housings and many other TAC filters of the same size. Scale TAC-ler Plus water conditioner works with all tankless and tank water heaters to prevent hard water scale, providing protection for flow rates up to 6 Gal. per minute. Using a process called Template Assisted Crystallization or TAC, a specialized polymeric bead medium forms calcium and magnesium carbonate nano-crystals which remain suspended in the water and pass through to the drain instead of forming hard mineral scale on surfaces.
