Massachusetts Kinnikinnik is a low growing evergreen. Growing 6 in. to 12 in. tall and spreading up to 15 ft. W, it makes a perfect choice for open and exposed areas with well-drained sandy soil and plenty of sun. This ground cover plant typically grows well in poor, acidic and infertile soils and can stand light shade. The Massachusetts Kinnikinnik offers beautiful pink-white flowers that bloom sometime in April or May as well as bright red berries. This plant is an excellent option for assisting with soil erosion, rock gardens or hanging over a wall.
