Description
The Brown Turkey Fig is perfect if you want a sweet fruit that you can pick off the tree and eat fresh. This cultivar is probably the most popular fig in the southeastern United States. The tree can produce 2 crops a-year, with figs ripening in early summer and again in late summer-months. The figs are medium sized and sweet with a brownish-purple skin and an amber pulp. Brown Turkey Fig trees are self-pollinating and are hardy in Zones 7-9. At maturity, it can reach a height and width between 15 ft. to 30 ft. The plant is shipped in a #7 pot with a minimum height of 36 in.
