THE TIMELESS ART OF BONE INLAYFirst thing first; No animal was harmed in the making of this beautiful piece of home decor :) Inlay is the technique of inserting pieces of contrasting material into depressions made on a base object. In bone inlay, the discarded bones of camels passed away due to natural causes are used. The production of bone inlay furniture is a multi step process and requires up to a month to create. First the fragments of camel bones are shaped delicately. Then these intricate shapes are affixed onto a MDF frame in a detailed pattern. After this, embellishments are added in terms of brass & animal horn inlay. The bone pieces are offset by striking color of brass or animal horn to create an exotic looking piece of home decoration.
