The Plumber's Choice shielded transition couplings make transition pipe connections while creating rigid and long-lasting pipe joints. It is great for supporting heavy loads and for providing improved pipe alignment. Connects a wide range of pipes to suit all individual needs, including cast iron, plastic, steel, copper and tubular, drain waste and vent systems. Lightweight and easy to install. Fully stocked from 1.5 in. to 8 in. pipe diameter. Conforms to ASTM C 1460. Requires a 5/16 in. hex head driver to tighten bolts to 60 in. lbs. min/max torque. Color: Black.
