"Japanese boxwoods are among the most popular evergreen shrubs, especially for using as a low, tidy hedge or in topiaries. The lustrous, fine-textured dark-green foliage is a floral arranging favorite for cuttings too. Perfect as a garden perimeter or along a fence or skip the fence and use boxwood as a natural low barrier if that's conducive to your space. Also handsomely accents entryways, walkways or foundation beds. Use as a dependable backdrop for wonderful pops of flowery color from neighboring annuals and perennials. with its easy ""shearability, boxwoods can be hedged into a variety of forms, complemented by colorful companion plants such as begonias, daylilies and roses. Another option is contrasting boxwood with evergreen shrubs that offer color or textural contrast. Grows to 4 ft. to 5 ft. H and wide. Best grown in evenly moist, well-drained soils. Needs less water once established. Provide full to part sun. Feed in spring with an all-purpose fertilizer. Hardy to Zone 6/minus 10°F."
