SQUARE FOOT Model SF28 Plastic Footing Form 28 in. x 20 in. x 28 in., is an engineered pre-fabricated plastic footing form, rigorously tested meeting all building code requirements, used in conjunction with either an 8 in., 10 in. or 12 in. diameter construction tube, which jointly provides for no cold joints, ribs in the footing for structural integrity, air vent holes - no pockets, providing for the safety, strength and stability for your project. Excavation and placement of the footing and forming tube, backfilling and concrete pour can happen in just a few hours. Four parallel footing sidewalls and structural points of contact to the base, also easily facilitates the use of rebar without custom fabrication delivers easy leveling and offers future expansion of a deck (as an example) to a sunroom or future home addition. In areas with frost, a 6 in. minimum footing thickness produces a thicker footing which decreases uplift and lateral movement caused by frost heave and high velocity winds. The SF28 uses 4.5 cu. ft. of concrete, equivalent to 7 lb. - 80 lb. bags easily found in the same concrete department.
