John Snow is one of the greatest figures in epidemiology and public health, best known for his work on cholera and in early data visualisation. This is a print of hhis iconic map of London's Soho made during the 1854 cholera epidemic, showing clusters of cases by address. Snow used the map to show that the source of the epidemic was the Broad Street water pump; after the pump's handle was removed, the epidemic died out. This print is in the public domain.
