EISENHOWER IKE DOLLARS 6-COIN SET Complete Set of all Years 1971-1978 w/Capsules The Eisenhower Dollar was a large size one-dollar coin issued by the United States Mint from 1971 to 1978. It was the first coin of that denomination issued by the Mint since the Peace Dollar Series ended in 1935. The coin depicts President Dwight D. Eisenhower on the obverse and a stylized image honoring the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon mission on the reverse (1976 depicts the Bicentennial). Mint marks are random on each coin and condition is Excellent to AU. Each 6-Coin Set comes with a premium Certificate of Authenticity. Each coin comes protected in an air-tight coin capsule. Special Note: 1973 Not Included in Set. They were never released for circulation only came in special US MINT PROOF Sets. There are no Eisenhower Dollars ever dated 1975 as they were not produced.
