On the design: The rug is made with a new yarn Josh Nazmiyal is introducing, which has a notable weight and sheen to it in thoughtful colors seldom seen in this style. The beige-brown underscores red and a subtle, light blue throughout floral patterns and archaic motifs. The weaving technique completes the old-world look of the pattern with high quality construction. The design is complementary to the rustic, old-world charm and transitional whimsy of Oushak rugs that distinguishes them from other, more traditional Oriental rug provenances.
