Description

A family splits up into different activtiies after their guests have finished dinner. The boys go out to play, the women talk in the kitchen, the men smoke cigars, and the baby makes noise banging stuff. The cartoon was drawn by Clare Briggs for the book "Oh Skin-nay! The Days of Real Sport" in 1913. The book was written by poet Wilbur D. Nesbit and portrays a year in the life of small-town America through the eyes of the twelve-year-old boy - wood gathering, sleigh rides, games of post office, swimming holes, and sandlot ball games.
