Viva Maria! is a 1965 adventure comedy film starring Brigitte Bardot and Jeanne Moreau as two women named Maria who meet and become revolutionaries in the early 20th century. It also starred George Hamilton as Flors, a revolutionary leader. It was co-written and directed by Louis Malle, and filmed in Eastman Color. Brigitte Bardot is a former French actress, singer and model. Famous for portraying sexually emancipated characters with hedonistic lifestyles, she was one of the best-known sex symbols of the 1950s and 1960s. Although she withdrew from the entertainment industry in 1973, she remains a major popular culture icon. Jeanne Moreau was a French actress, singer, screenwriter, director, and socialite. She made her theatrical debut in 1947. She won the Cannes Film Festival Award for Best Actress for Seven Days Seven Nights (1960), and the BAFTA Award for Best Foreign Actress for Viva Maria! (1965), and the Csar Award for Best Actress for The Old Lady Who Walked in the Sea (1992). She was also the recipient of several lifetime achievement awards, including a BAFTA Fellowship in 1996, a Cannes Golden Palm in 2003, and another Csar Award in 2008. Size: 10" H x 8" W
