Allyson lives in Vancouver, BC. Her work is inspired by movement and organic shapes. Throughout her art education, Allyson was fascinated by and constantly referring to Japanese manga woodblock prints, illuminated manuscripts, and Chinese calligraphy. In her own work, she is seeking a balance of freedom/control, light/color, and flatness/three-dimensionality. In her spare time, Allyson enjoys a stroll on Granville Island with her corgi, Billy.
