Wayan Kandiyasa is inspired by the intimate connection between lovers when he designed this sculpture. He carves the sculpture by hand from sandstone, expertly detailing the man's and woman's traditional Balinese headdresses. My inspiration comes to me when I am most relaxed and quiet. An image comes to me and I start to work as calmly as possible, trying to keep the original idea as simple as possible.'
