Ten years ago, LTP offered the first edition of Grant Us Peace to help communities pray for peace during the Gulf War. Today, in our own time of terror, war and fear, LTP offers an updated edition of this treasury of prayer and readings about peace and the justice it requires. This collection includes morning, midday and night prayers; prayers for Fridays and Sundays; and prayers for Advent and Christmas, and for Lent, Triduum and Eastertime. Also included are scripture citations about peace, as well as prayers and reflections for feasts and fasts that call the Christian community to pray for peace. The treasury concludes with a section of reflections from ancient saints, modern prophets and church teaching, and ideas for communal prayer.
