Description
Clay Shannon rides alone into the isolated mining town of Whiskey Creek carrying a deputy sheriff's badge and the weariness born of many years as a lawman. Shannon has been sent to investigate the murder of the town's former deputy and bring some semblance of order to the rough and lawless Whiskey Creek. He finds himself confronting a hostile community, the powerful and crooked Luck Lady Saloon owner Ace Parker, and a dangerous gunman Nick Slade. Aided by Kathy Winters, a young widow whose husband has been murdered by the local toughs, and backed by Pedro Rodriguez, a courageous resident who once served as a Texas lawman, Shannon struggles to bring the killers to justice. But Shannon's efforts are frustrated at every turn by lack of evidence and the often brutal actions of Parker and Slade. At last Shannon is forced to make a decision: Will he stay within the law or make his own? The result is an action-packed tale of good and evil.
