The Upstate Traipse Vase in Frankie pays homage to Helen Frankenthaler's color field paintings. Inspired by the experimental technique of soaking and staining the canvas while pouring, dripping and sponging color heavily influenced the color approach to this collection. This unique vase is handblown, giving it a gorgeous organic shape. Both a meditation on and celebration of the numinous nature of color, New York-based creative studio Upstate combines terrestrial and cosmic inspiration in their handmade glassware.
