This cocotte can be cooked on gas, electric, ceramic, and induction cooktops, and is oven safe to up to 500°F. Not recommended for microwave ovens. Add water or oil to the pot and cook with low to medium heat. The extra-heavy lid helps to seal in the moisture and keeps the food flavorful. Wash and dry the enamel-coated cast iron cookware before first use. Allow the cookware to cool before washing. Hand wash with warm soapy water is recommended. Use wooden, silicone, or nylon utensils as metal can scratch the enamel. Use nylon pads or scrapers to remove the additional residue.
