Description
This ready to hang, gallery-wrapped art piece features a bridge over a river in the wilderness. Jasper Francis Cropsey (18 February, 1823 - 22 June, 1900) was an American landscape artist and a first generation member of the Hudson River School. He was trained in architecture, which is evident in his precise arrangement of outline and form, but he was best known for his lavish use of color. Though he died in anonymity, his works were rediscovered by galleries and collectors in the 1960's, and hang in most major American museums today. Size: 12" H x 19" W x 2" D
