Divide hair at the temples and secure the top half out of the way. Take a 1-2-inch section of hair and clamp the iron at the tips, then roll the iron upwards toward the roots, wrapping hair evenly around the barrel. Hold the iron until heat has fully penetrated the section of hair, then release the clamp.
