Its intended purpose is for use in the pond boss and aquanique UV pumps (800, 1000, and 1300 GPH UV pumps). This small but powerful bulb emits ultraviolet light that takes the green out of your pond water, preventing nasty odors and murky water. The cold cathode ultraviolet (UV) tube design ensures longer bulb life. for maximum efficiency, we recommend UV bulbs be changed at least once every year. We recommend storing all UV Clarifier products indoors during the winter months.
