Its molded design features front flashing that extends approximately 3” below the rough opening sill and approximately 3” outward from the corner of the rough opening sill to protect against water intrusion..Sold as a two-piece assembly consisting of a right-corner piece and left-corner piece, Dupont Sill Pans' innovative, two-piece construction can be adjusted to fit most window sill widths, providing a continuous shield against water..DuPont Sill Pans have been manufactured to ensure a consistent thickness and assist positive drainage of water to the exterior. Featuring a durable molded PVC polymer, it can be installed at temperatures as low as 0°F and will not rust or rot..Seamless backdam provides an extra barrier if water finds its way to the back of the sill; designed according to ASTM E2112 guidelines. DuPont Sill Pans are compatible with Weathermate Straight and Flexible Flashings along with standard adhesives and sealants..DuPont Sill Pan is suitable for use in windowsills only. The Sill Pan works best when the window sill is sloped to the exterior. Shims, if necessary, should be placed underneath the Sill Pan.
