The spurtle, a cross between a spatula and a spoon, is a traditional Scottish utensil dating back to the 15th century for stirring porridge, however its design has evolved over time into a hybrid tool for just about everything. Use this versatile kitchen tool for soups, gravies, dips, or crumbling ground beef. Made from earth-friendly Pakkawood, is extremely durable, safe for all cookware, and heat resistant to 450 degrees. Since the cooking utensils are not made from plastic, they can stir the bottom of a pan placed over high heat without melting and will not scratch cookware. Cleaning the cooking tool can generally be done by washing with hot soapy water and allowing it to air dry. It can be wiped with mineral oil when needed to restore the finish.
