Description

Designed by Jesper Voxnaes, the CRKT Pilar Folding Knife is named after Ernest Hemingway's beloved boat, Pilar, that he used for renegade surveillance of German U-boats during WWII in Caribbean waters. The Pilar utilizes 8Cr13MoV blade steel; and the blade deploys with a flipper or a thumb slot, and locks open with a frame lock. The flat-ground, modified sheepsfoot blade is well suited for serious slicing and cutting. The frame features one stainless steel side to accommodate the steel-on-steel frame lock, the other side is textured G10 to provide a semi-tacky, non-slip hold. Two pronounced finger choils keep your hand off the blade during use. The thin, sleekly designed knife carries comfortably with a reversible (tip-up/tip-down) pocket clip. The CRKT Pilar is a reliable EDC folding knife that's easily concealed and quickly deployed. Manufacturer model #: 5315GC.
