All Orion LHD 80-degree Lanthanum Ultra-WideEyepieces are designed with viewing comfort in mind. All LHD eyepieces sport a large, 30mm-diameter eye lens to peer into for a relaxing experience. Each LHD eyepiece boasts a very long 20mm eye relief so you can see the entire 80-degree fieldcomfortably. If you wear eyeglasses while stargazing, you can leave them on while using an Orion LHD eyepiece and still enjoy the full field-of-view without eye strain. The 9mm Orion LHD 80-Degree Lanthanum Ultra-Wide Eyepiece features a tapered 1.25"barrel. The tapered barrel helps the eyepiece stay put in focusers and diagonals if a setscrew happens to become slightly loose during use. The 1.25" eyepiece barrel is threaded for use with compatible 1.25" Orion eyepiece filters.
