Pick a location in your landscape where this Azalea will receive 4-6 hours of direct sunlight or all-day lightly filtered sun. If it gets too little sun, it will result in the Azalea having reduced bloom potential. This Azalea prefers well-draining, rich garden soil with a slightly acidic pH. Poorly draining soil can eventually result in root rot. Water regularly after planting, two times per week during average weather conditions. However, water more frequently during heat waves or drought. After your plant is established, you will only need to water during extreme drought. Fertilize your Encore Azaleas in the spring with a slow-release Acidic Fertilizer to keep the blooms coming season after season!
