The 16" long Para-Max extra strength paracord features six 3-ply twisted cores, and the 5/16" thickness is made of a 32-strand interwoven sheath for a minimum 1,000 lb. tensile strength. It is a very durable rope, but it is still a rope. That being said your dog will destroy the rope if you let them.
